With thousands of events planned for Heritage Week 2025, running from Saturday 16 August to Sunday 24 August, communities across Ireland are opening their doors to celebrate the island’s history, culture and natural treasures.

National Heritage Week is finally upon us! Event organizers nationwide have been hard at work, creating engaging activities and inspiring projects for everyone to enjoy.

Now is the perfect time to get out and explore. Over 2,300 events are set to take place across the country this week. There are also some really inspiring digital heritage projects on heritageweek.ie.

Families, communities, holidaymakers and people of all ages are invited to take part and immerse themselves in the week’s activities.
