Shipping methods and delivery times cannot be guaranteed. Dispatch times may vary according to availability. We are not responsible for any delay in delivery occurring due to postal delays, force majeure or any other reasons beyond our control, including fire, accident, acts of God, strike, carrier delays, power or system failure.
(i) Agreement
By making a contribution, a contributor agrees and acknowledges that:
The contribution is provided to Irish Heritage News as an irrevocable contribution, subject to any exercise of the contributor’s right to receive a refund and Irish Heritage News’s right to return any contribution at its discretion.
The contribution is made subject to these Terms and Conditions, which shall constitute a legally binding agreement between the contributor and Irish Heritage News (the “Agreement”), entered into by each party in consideration of the other’s obligations under these Terms and Conditions.
(ii) Conditions
Contributions will be accepted from individuals as well as any other legal entities.
Contributors who are individuals must be aged 18 or over.
Acceptance of any contribution is at the discretion of Irish Heritage News.
(iii) Administration of Contributions
Each contribution will be identifiable by a unique payment identification number and so are individually refundable, and will be accounted for separately by Irish Heritage News.
From the moment the contribution is processed, Irish Heritage News will be legally and beneficially entitled to the full amount of the contribution and the contributor has no entitlement to the return of a contribution in any circumstances other than as specified in these Terms and Conditions.
The contributor shall receive no benefit in return for any contribution and shall have no rights to influence the editorial policy or output of Irish Heritage News.
Irish Heritage News will not compensate, whether through commissions, finders’ fees or other means, any third party for directing a contribution to Irish Heritage News.
Contributions to Irish Heritage News are not charitable donations under law and, as far as Irish Heritage News is aware, contributors shall not be entitled to any tax relief in respect of their contributions.
(iv) Refunds and Cancellations of Contributions
Irish Heritage News reserves the right to refuse and return any contribution in its absolute discretion, including without limitation where it believes that accepting the contribution would conflict with the mission, values or interests of Irish Heritage News, and/or where, having regard to the source of the contribution or intentions of the contributor, Irish Heritage News considers that to accept the contribution could damage the independence or reputation of Irish Heritage News or adversely affect the relationship of Irish Heritage News with other contributors.
Contributors shall be entitled to receive a refund of their contribution for up to 14 days after receipt of payment by notifying Irish Heritage News by email at info@irishheritagenews.ie. Any requests for a refund of a contribution received by Irish Heritage News following expiry of the 14-day period will be ineligible.
Any refused and/or returned contributions shall be repaid into the account from which the contribution was made.
(v) Transparency of Contributions
Irish Heritage News reserves the right to:
Request the full name and contact details of the contributor;
Request from the contributor any other information that it considers to be necessary or desirable to determine the provenance of the contribution;
Undertake any further investigations it deems fit to determine the provenance of the contribution.
If the contributor refuses to provide any information as outlined above, Irish Heritage News may refuse and return the contribution to the contributor at its discretion.
(vi) Confidentiality and Publicity
Contributors shall not be entitled to publicise their contribution or otherwise market themselves or any connected person or business in connection with their contribution, except with the prior written consent of Irish Heritage News and then only if the contributor complies with any relevant policies, procedures or requirements of Irish Heritage News.
(vii) Data Protection and Privacy
Information about how we handle your personal data is set out separately in the Irish Heritage News Privacy Policy.
(viii) Exclusion of Liability
Neither Irish Heritage News nor any affiliated person, owner, director, employee or officer shall be liable for any loss suffered by any donor or other person arising out of or in connection with a contribution, whether direct or indirect, including loss of revenue, loss of profits, loss of business or anticipated savings, loss of use, loss of goodwill, loss of data, and whether caused by tort (including negligence), breach of contract or otherwise.
(ix) Miscellaneous
A failure of Irish Heritage News to assert a right or provision under these Terms and Conditions shall not constitute a waiver of that right or provision.
This Agreement constitutes the entire agreement between the contributor and Irish Heritage News in respect of any contributions made by the contributor.

You acknowledge that your use of our website is at your own discretion and risk and you agree to waive to the fullest extent permissible by law any right to bring any claim or action against us, contractors, contributors, third-party advertisers, technology providers or other partners, for any loss, damage, costs or injury arising from such use.
We do not give any warranty or make any representation as to the accuracy or completeness of the information contained on our website or in printed material. We will strive to have any inaccuracies amended if possible but we make no commitment to update the information. We disclaim all liability and responsibility arising from any reliance placed on our content by any user or by anyone who may be informed of any of its contents.

You acknowledge and agree that we, at our sole discretion, may terminate your use of the website without prior notice, and remove and discard any user content, for any reason, with or without prior notice, including, without limitation, if we believe that you have violated or acted inconsistently with these Terms of Use or our Privacy Policy.
